It's About Kinship

Kinship Nutrition was born from the idea that wellness is multifaceted and that so much can be accomplished in community. True health isn’t just about food — it’s about connection, lifestyle, and feeling supported along the way. The name "Kinship" reflects my belief that we thrive when we have meaningful relationships and a sense of belonging.

My Story

Hi, I'm Tina Guadan Fogall, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Pacific Northwest native with a deep passion for health, wellness, and really good food. My connection to the PNW runs deep — my great-grandparents were homesteaders who lived on the Kitsap Peninsula where they fished, farmed oysters, dug clams, and grew much of their own vegetables. Their resourceful and sustainable way of living continues to influence my approach to nutrition and wellness today.

My desire for a holistic approach to health led me to pursue both my undergraduate and graduate degrees at Bastyr University, a pioneer in integrative and natural health education. This education instilled in me a deep respect for treating the whole person and integrating evidence-based care with personalized strategies that promote lasting wellness. I'm honored to now give back to the university as an adjunct faculty member, teaching nutrition to undergraduate students and helping shape the next generation of nutrition professionals.

I received my dietetic training at UCSF Medical Center, where I gained invaluable experience working with diverse patient populations in a dynamic clinical setting. This rigorous training equipped me with a strong foundation in medical nutrition therapy, enabling me to support patients facing unique and complex health conditions with compassionate, evidence-based care.

I founded Kinship Nutrition to empower individuals to take control of their health, prevent or reverse chronic conditions, and achieve optimal wellness through personalized, evidence-based nutrition and holistic care. I celebrate body diversity and believe that metabolic health doesn’t equate to a number on a scale, pant size, or BMI. Our bodies are beautifully unique, and that diversity deserves respect and care. My approach focuses on helping clients improve their health through sustainable strategies that honor their unique physiology and lifestyle. By rejecting a one-size-fits-all mentality, I provide compassionate, evidence-based guidance to help people feel their best — physically, mentally, and emotionally. Whether we're working together one-on-one or in a group setting, my mission is to provide a supportive, inclusive space where you feel heard and empowered.

When I'm not working, I find joy in the simple and silly moments with my family, practicing yoga, walking the beach in West Seattle, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, watching Seattle sports, and exploring food through travel with my husband Justin. I look forward to meeting you and being part of your journey to a healthier, happier life.
